Truth Bothers People

October 21, 2015

Why do we prefer lies?

Isn’t this often the case? We don’t want to hear truth when it disturbs our plans, our patterns, our way of life, or our chosen behaviors. One means we use to attenuate this disturbance is to declare our problems someone else’s fault.

How many awful deeds have been done for the purpose of shutting up the truth?

This is ironic, because lies are bad.

Truth is good.

Truth delivers.

Truth brings light.

Truth hurts, but heals.

Truth stands.

Jesus came to testify to the truth.

Look where it got Him. It takes courage to speak truth, because people tend to prefer lies.\

I say: take courage.
